Stay: Keemala (Thailand) Review

Keemala is a beautiful treehouse resort in the hills of Phuket 40 minutes from the Phuket Airport.  The complementary private shuttle picked us up and the drive began through the small town of Phuket and up the wandering hills to Keenmala resort and spa. We were greeted with fresh towels and taken to an overlook treehouse while they checked us in.  We sat in awe taking in all the beauty, sipping our refreshing coconut welcome cocktails and tea.  We were then lead to our Tent Tree Villa

Shaded by an enchanted canopy of rainforest and connected together by a network of jungle walkways, our villas are complete with a private pool and are designed for guests wishing to experience a rustic, yet lavish, escape.

38 pool villas are nestled in the serene hills overlooking the waters of Phuket.  This is the perfect romantic getaway for you and your significant other.  This was the splurge hotel on our Thailand adventure and it was definitely worth it.

The rooms are phenomenal.  The beds are incredibly comfortable (you even get a pillow menu) and it overlooks your personal infinity pool.  In the distance you can see the rolling mountains that open up to the ocean .  The bes is covered in a You are covered in netting ( every girl’s dream) which makes it super dreamy. We slept like babies in this enchanting nest in the sky.

Events: Every evening they have different events including sunset cocktails, wine tastings, happy hour, Thai tapas. This is a great way to try the excellent cuisine and mingle with the guests while overlooking the spectacular views.

Eat/Drink: Upon arrival, we sat for lunch and enjoyed the gourmet authentic Thai cuisine.  I opted for the Massaman curry (spicy) while Jerome enjoyed a burger and fries.  All of the food is fresh and locally sourced.  They have options for everyone!

Do: enjoy a complimentary yoga class, Relax by the pool, ot take a free shuttle to the beaches of Phuket.  Fair warning about the Phuket beaches: they are a bit touristy but there are some little gems.  We grabbed a drink and played some connect four at the Bob Marley Bar and then opted for a relaxing foot massage beachside (more expensive then Chaing Mai, but we expected that since Phuket is a bit more touristy).
