Everyone wants to have a signature scent, but majority of us are limited to what is on the shelves of Sephora or a department store, until now. Just because their is a new “it” fragrance doesn’t mean it is the right scent for you. We are all unique in so many different ways, so shouldn’t that also be extended to our perfume as well? When Indie House Boutique Fragrance Bar invited myself and Athena (Southernhealthyliving.com) to come see what it has to offer we jumped at the chance, and it did not disappoint.
WHAT IS INDIE HOUSE?
Indie House Modern Fragrance bar is a unique experience where you can browse fragrances from all over the world, at EVERY price point, or even create your own signature scent all in one beautiful place. One aspect I found unique was that the fragrances were catagoriezed by moods instead of scents:
- Sporty Chic: Energizing, Happy, Uplifting
- Fresh Minimalist: Bright, Fresh, Clean
- Elegant & Sophisticated: Powerful, Woody, Classic
- Modern Romantic: Charming, Soft, Flirty
- Urban Bohemian: Exotic, Spicy- Sweet, Seductive
Not only does Indiehouse smell amazing (duh) it is so aesthetically beautiful and clean. Crisp white walls, clean lines, and fresh design. The presentation of the perfumes are categorized by moods and are in ascending price points to help you stay within a budget that is comfortable for you. At each table the fragrances are sprayed on intricate paper flowers covered by a beaker for optimal and not overpowering scent.
All of the fragrances at Indiehouse are unisex and come with a clean promise; which is important to us when finding our signature scent. They have perfumes from all over the world and every price point, and they also have natural botanicals options.
UNIQUE OFFERINGS
Indie house offers some unique experiences that are perfect for date nights, girls day, Bridal parties and group events.
- Scent Blending Workshops – One of their top classes “Scent Blending 101” which is a beginner level workshops. Learn the science behind creating fragrances and create your own unique blend.
- Walk-in Custom Experience – which is what Athena and I participated in. You will be able to create your own fragrance and they will mix it right there….you even get to choose your own name for your fragrance; which was more difficult than creating my signature scent.
- Open Studio – a 2 hour space rental which is great for group events and holiday parties. You will be able to create your own 30ml fragrance for a party gift. An added plus is that you can bring in your own food and drinks to make it an even more memorable experience.
- Bridal Parties – a 90 minute guide to France, exclusive use of the beautifully serene space, workshop materials for 12 guests, and of course a champagne toast. Great idea for bridal parties or bridal showers to create a unique scent for your big day.
I could not recommend Indie House enough. It was such a unique amazing experience. We learned so much about fragrance and create our own signature scent. They are so knowledgable and kind people. This is the perfect gift for any of your ladies in your life. Cannot wait to hear all about your experience at Indie House!
